Established in 1981, SFBS has the English National Curriculum at its core, delivered through the frameworks of the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC for 3-5 year olds), International Primary Curriculum (IPC for 5-11 year olds) and International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC for 11-14 year olds)*. Bringing relevance, thinking and collaboration to the learning environment, SFBS develops new and consistent teaching practices, inspiring excellence and building character in a truly international context. It offers academic rigour and excellence, and builds a core set of values to prepare students for the seamless transition to our state-of-the-art High School in Year 10. There they will transfer their knowledge and skills through critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication to study for the IB Diploma Programme.

We take great pride in connecting and empowering our highly experienced teaching community to deliver teaching and learning through up-to-date practices based on recent research and good practice. Our teachers have worked in the UK and/or abroad and offer students an unmatched learning experience in a truly diverse and multinational community of learners; up to 50 different nationalities are represented in our school.
