What is STEM?

STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.

 

Project Based Learning(PBL) is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging, and complex question, problem, or challenge. Our programs are offered in world-class educational facilities.

 

Program type A total of 5 programs were designed for year 2017 to 2018

1. Young scientists Alpha

This course is for the true researcher. Students will explore the world of science through experimentation and mathematics as they prepare for independent research projects. A student in this course will have the additional benefit of gaining presentation and research writing skills through a collaborating English course. The end goal for a Young Scientist is to undergo independent research projects.

2. Young Engineers Alpha

This course is geared towards future inventors. Students will focus not only on creating products to solve real-world problems and analyzing the engineering design process, but also communicating and marketing their ideas. The end goal for Young Engineers is to come up with their own inventions to enter into international invention competitions.

3. Young Tech-Roboticists Alpha

Students enrolled in this course will learn the basics of VEX IQ Robotics and animation. The goal of the course is to use principals of motion in 2D animation, to help with robot builds and movements. Students in this class will delve into the creative side of robotics as they learn the basics. Throughout the year, students will work on creating an animated storyline of their experience in robotics. When students are ready to compete in VEX IQ competitions, the Young Tech-Roboticists students will create a video to enter into VEX IQ creative contests.

4. Young Roboticists Alpha

Students enrolled in this class will gain experience and skill in robotics. Robotics will be enriched through mathematics as students go through mathematical logic and calculations to assist with building and programming robots. Students will also practice presentation skills to promote robotics through English classes. The goal of the Young Roboticist class is to have kids gain the necessary expertise to compete in VEX IQ competitions.

5. Young Technologists Alpha

Students enrolled in this course will work on computational thinking skills as they build programs in Scratch or JavaScript. Students' animations, games, etc. will be enhanced through 2D animation courses as they apply their knowledge of realistic motion. Students will have the additional benefit of incorporating enriching story development in their projects. Students will work on creating games and animations with in-depth storylines. The end goal for Young Technologist is to create animations and games using completely original work without using any stock photos or pictures.
